Antimicrobian spectrum of spectinomycin includes gram negative and gram positive germs and mycoplasma. It is high effective against salmonella sp, e. Coli and pasteurella sp.
Indications
Cattle, horse, pig and sheep: respiratory and digestive infections due to mycoplasma, salmonella, coliform and pasteurella organisms. Other infections where the pathogen is sensitive to spectinomycin.
Poultry: mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis, fowl cholera diseases, due to coliform bacteria, and synovitis.
Goose: mycoplasmosis, salmonellosis, fowl cholera and coliform infections.
Turkey: mycoplasmosis, sinusitis, pasteurellosis, arizona-disease, coliform infections, synovitis.
Dog and cat: respiratory and gastro-intestinal infections.
Composition
Spectinomycin (as dihydrochloride pentahydrate) 10 g, Excipient q.s.f. 100 ml
Mode of use
Intravenously, intramuscularly, subcutaneously.
Cattle, horse, pig: 10 - 20 ml for 100 kg b.w.
Calf, sheep: 10 - 15 ml for 50 kg b.w.
Sucking pig: 0.5 ml per animal
Poultry, goose: 0.1 - 0.2 ml per kg b.w.
Dog and cat: 1 ml for 5 kg b.w.
Turkey-sinusitis*: 0.3 ml per kg b.w.
*(one third of the dose being administered into each infected sinus and two-third parenterally)
Treatment to be continued for 3-5 days.
Withdrawal period
Meat: 5 days.
Milk: 12 hours.

In a cool and dark places.
